Chain and oil lubricatorsGravity fed system Gravity fed oil systems have been around for many decades yet are still are an economical “fix” to some industrial lubrication chain issues. An oil reservoir is attached to a number of output feeds (up to 24) which have needle valves to regulate the flow. An oil orifice is open and closes either manually or electronically to allow oil flow. The oil is applied through a brush. Air operated injector chain lubricator Small, frequent and reliable doses of oil are the best way of lubricating a chain. Purgex® injectors do just that. A small adjustable amount of oil is quantified in the injector. The injector is then activated by a 3 way air solenoid valve (either through a timer/plc or mechanical control) to eject a shot of oil on to a brush at a 9:1 oil/air ratio. That’s high pressure. Injectors can be joined together easily to make multiple feeds of up to 24. Conveyor chain lubrication system Conveyor system usually seem difficult to lubricate as painted parts hang below, high temperatures and aggressive chemicals are present and over lubrication needs to be avoided. Lube Control have a custom designed lubrication system for conveyor systems. Only minute amounts of oil are applied to links and/or bearings exactly where and when the chain needs. | ![]() |
